The State Board of Education in accordance with the Federal\n\nMotor Vehicle Safety Standards, 49 C.F.R., Part 571, shall adopt and\n\nenforce regulations not inconsistent with this act to govern the\n\ndesign and operation of all school buses used for the transportation\n\nof school children when owned and operated by any school district or\n\nprivately owned and operated under contract with any school district\n\nin this state, and such regulations shall by reference be made a\n\npart of any such contract with a school district. Every school\n\ndistrict, its officers and employees, and every person employed\n\nunder contract by a school district shall be subject to said\n\nregulations.\n\nB. Any officer or employee of any school district who violates\n\nany of said regulations or fails to include obligation to comply\n\nwith said regulations in any contract executed by him on behalf of a\n\nschool district shall be guilty of misconduct and subject to removal\n\nfrom office or employment.
