Stat. tit. 47, § 47-1502","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Motor Vehicle Chop Shop, Stolen and Altered\n\nProperty Act:\n\n1. \"Chop shop\" means any building, lot or other premise where\n\none or more persons are or have been knowingly engaged in altering,\n\ndestroying, disassembling, dismantling, reassembling, or knowingly\n\nstoring any motor vehicle, or motor vehicle part known to be\n\nillegally obtained by theft, fraud or conspiracy to defraud, in\n\norder to either:\n\na. alter, counterfeit, deface, destroy, disguise,\n\nfalsify, forge, obliterate, or remove the identity,\n\nincluding the vehicle identification number of such\n\nmotor vehicle or motor vehicle part, in order to\n\nmisrepresent the identity of such motor vehicle or\n\nmotor vehicle part, or to prevent the identification\n\nof such motor vehicle or motor vehicle part; or\n\nb. sell or dispose of such motor vehicle or motor vehicle\n\npart.\n\n2. \"Motor vehicle\" means and includes every device in, upon, or\n\nby which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn\n\nupon a highway, which is self-propelled or which may be connected to\n\nand towed by a self-propelled device, and also includes any and all\n\nother land-based devices which are self-propelled but which are not\n\ndesigned for use upon a highway, including but not limited to, farm\n\nmachinery and construction equipment.\n\n3. \"Person\" means and includes a natural person, company,\n\ncorporation, unincorporated association, partnership, professional\n\ncorporation, and any other legal entity.\n\n4. \"Unidentifiable\" means that the uniqueness of a motor\n\nvehicle or motor vehicle part cannot be established by either expert\n\nlaw enforcement investigative personnel specially trained and\n\nexperienced in motor vehicle theft investigative procedures and\n\nmotor vehicle identification examination techniques, or by expert\n\nemployees of not-for-profit motor vehicle theft prevention agencies\n\nspecially trained and experienced in motor vehicle theft\n\ninvestigation procedures and motor vehicle identification\n\nexamination techniques.\n\n5. \"Vehicle identification number\" means a number or numbers, a\n\nletter or letters, a character or characters, a datum or data, a\n\nderivative or derivatives, or a combination or combinations thereof,\n\nused by the manufacturer or Service Oklahoma for the purpose of\n\nuniquely identifying a motor vehicle or motor vehicle part.
