Stat. tit. 47, § 47-16-108","heading":"Misdemeanor violations - Procedure","body":"(a) Whenever a person is halted by a peace officer or highway\n\npatrolman for any violation of this title punishable as a\n\nmisdemeanor, the officer shall proceed in accordance with the State\n\nand Municipal Traffic Bail Bond Procedure Act, Section 1115 et seq.\n\nof Title 22 of the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\n(b) If the person charged with the violation is a minor, then\n\nthe citing police officer shall ascertain from the minor the name\n\nand address of his parents or legal guardian, and said officer shall\n\ncause a copy of the \"violation\" to be mailed to the address of the\n\nparents or legal guardian, within three (3) days after the date of\n\nviolation.","path":["OK Code","Title 47"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os47.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"04c446fe909473769f36df20ad1e48741632c90b2e2ba3efec40a912fd30ffd7","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-16-104","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-16-109.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
