No person shall transport household goods for compensation\n\nor other consideration in intrastate commerce without a valid\n\ncertificate issued by the Corporation Commission.\n\nB. The Commission shall promulgate rules ensuring consumer\n\nprotection and loss and damage claim procedures.\n\nC. Every motor carrier, subject to this act, receiving\n\nhousehold goods for transportation in intrastate commerce shall\n\nissue a receipt or bill of lading therefor, the form of which shall\n\nbe prescribed by the Commission.\n\nD. Record-keeping documents, as required by the Commission,\n\nshall be maintained by the motor carrier of household goods for a\n\nminimum of three (3) years. The Commission is authorized to require\n\ncertain documents to be retained for a longer period of time pending\n\na claim for any other reason the Commission deems necessary.\n\nE. Any person, motor carrier, or shipper who shall willfully\n\nviolate any provision of this act or the Commission’s rules pursuant\n\nthereto may be found in violation by the Commission.
