Stat. tit. 47, § 47-180l","heading":"Reciprocal compacts and agreements with other states","body":"The Commission is hereby authorized and empowered, on behalf of\n\nthe State of Oklahoma, and when it shall deem it to be in the best\n\ninterest of the residents of this state so to do, to enter into\n\nreciprocal compacts and agreements with other states, or the\n\nauthorized agencies thereof, when such states have made provisions\n\nsubstantially similar to this section, respecting the regulation of\n\nmotor vehicles engaged in interstate or foreign commerce upon and\n\nover the public highways. And such compacts and agreements may\n\nprovide for the granting, to the residents of such states,\n\nprivileges substantially similar to those granted thereby to\n\nOklahoma residents: Provided: (1) That no such compact or agreement\n\nshall supersede or suspend the operation of any law, rule or\n\nregulation of the State of Oklahoma which shall apply to vehicles\n\noperated intrastate in the State of Oklahoma; (2) That any\n\nprivileges, the granting of which shall be provided by any such\n\ncompact or agreement, shall extend only in cases of full compliance\n\nwith the laws of the state joining in such compact or agreement; (3)\n\nThat no such compact or agreement shall supersede or suspend the\n\noperation of any law of the State of Oklahoma other than those\n\napplying to the payment of fees for registration certificates or\n\nidentification devices; and (4) That the powers and authority of the\n\nOklahoma Tax Commission to administer and enforce the tax laws of\n\nthis state, pertaining to the taxation of motor vehicles, shall be\n\nin no manner superseded or suspended.","path":["OK Code","Title 47"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os47.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"7f1825416b34b0e1bbff40e4fb958f3516825b38a81dd7f82b6e80d9c90bfe93","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-180k","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-180m"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
