Stat. tit. 47, § 47-2-105.7","heading":"Capitol Patrol Section - Authority - Reclassification","body":"- Salaries - Application.\n\nA. There is hereby created within the Oklahoma Highway Patrol\n\nDivision of the Department of Public Safety a Capitol Patrol Section\n\nwhich shall consist of such employees as may be necessary to provide\n\nlaw enforcement services to all state buildings and properties,\n\nincluding grounds appurtenant thereto, within Oklahoma County and\n\nTulsa County. All commissioned officers of the Capitol Patrol\n\nSection as designated by the Commissioner shall have the authority\n\nto enforce all parking, traffic, and criminal laws within Oklahoma\n\nCounty and Tulsa County, and shall have the authority to perform\n\nother law enforcement duties within the state as prescribed by the\n\nCommissioner of Public Safety.\n\nB. A Patrolman shall not be promoted to the position of Capitol\n\nPatrol Sergeant.\n\nC. Any officer of the Capitol Patrol Section of the Oklahoma\n\nHighway Patrol Division may request reclassification to the\n\nequivalent lateral position, rank, and salary within the Oklahoma\n\nHighway Patrol Division and shall be reclassified to the position if\n\nthe officer:\n\n1. Meets the requirements of paragraph 2 of subsection B of\n\nSection 2-105 of this title. Provided, the officer shall be exempt\n\nfrom the maximum age limitation;\n\n2. Satisfactorily completes a course of training as prescribed\n\nby the Commissioner; and\n\n3. Serves a twelve-month probationary period which shall\n\ncommence upon entering the course of training required by paragraph\n\n2 of this subsection.\n\nSuch reclassified officer shall be subject to reassignment as\n\ndetermined by the Chief of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Division.\n\nD. All commissioned officers of the Capitol Patrol Section of\n\nthe Oklahoma Highway Patrol Division of the Department of Public\n\nSafety shall have, in addition to their primary duty as prescribed\n\nin subsection A of this section, a secondary duty to enforce all\n\nstate statutes, to make arrests for violations and to perform other\n\nduties as prescribed by the Commissioner of Public Safety in\n\naccordance with Section 2-117 of this title.\n\nE. The Office of Management and Enterprise Services and the\n\nOklahoma Capitol Improvement Authority shall provide office and\n\noperations space for the Capitol Patrol Section of the Oklahoma\n\nHighway Patrol Division of the Department of Public Safety.\n\nF. The annual salaries of personnel comprising this section\n\nshall be in accordance and conformity with the findings for\n\nDepartment of Public Safety law enforcement personnel of the State\n\nof Oklahoma Total Remuneration Study of 2013.\n\nG.
