Subject to the availability of funding, the Department of\n\nPublic Safety shall establish an Identity Verification Unit (IVU)\n\nfor the primary purpose of investigating and apprehending persons or\n\nentities that participate in the sale or distribution of fraudulent\n\ndocuments used for identification purposes. The unit shall\n\nadditionally specialize in fraudulent identification documents\n\ncreated and prepared for persons who are unlawfully residing within\n\nthis state. The Department shall employ sufficient employees to\n\ninvestigate and implement an Identity Verification Unit.\n\nB.
