Stat. tit. 47, § 47-2-121","heading":"Legal division","body":"The Department of Public Safety shall establish or provide for a\n\nLegal Division and the Commissioner may employ attorneys as needed,\n\nwhich may be on full-time or part-time basis, which attorneys, in\n\naddition to advising the Commissioner, Highway Patrol and other\n\nDepartment personnel on legal matters, may appear for and represent\n\nthe Commissioner, Highway Patrol and Department in administrative\n\nhearings and other legal actions and proceedings.
