Stat. tit. 47, § 47-2-306.3","heading":"Death benefit","body":"Upon the death of an active or retired member, the Oklahoma Law\n\nEnforcement Retirement System shall pay to the designated\n\nbeneficiary of the member as defined in paragraph 17 of Section 2-\n\n300 of this title or if there is no such designated beneficiary or\n\nif such designated beneficiary predeceases the member, to the estate\n\nof the member, the sum of Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00) as a\n\ndeath benefit for those active or retired members who died prior to\n\nJuly 1, 1999.
