Stat. tit. 47, § 47-230.3","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Oklahoma Motor Carrier Safety and Hazardous\n\nMaterials Transportation Act:\n\n1. \"Commerce\" means trade, traffic, commerce or transportation\n\nwithin this state;\n\n2. \"Commissioner\" means the Commissioner of Public Safety;\n\n3. \"Department\" means the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety;\n\n4. \"Discharge\" means leakage, seepage or other release of\n\nhazardous materials;\n\n5. \"Hazardous material\" means a substance or material in a\n\nquantity and form determined by the United States Department of\n\nTransportation to be capable of posing an unreasonable risk to\n\nhealth and safety or property when transported in commerce;\n\n6. \"Person\" means any natural person or individual,\n\ngovernmental body, firm, association, partnership, copartnership,\n\njoint venture, company, corporation, joint stock company, trust,\n\nestate or any other legal entity or their legal representative,\n\nagent or assigns; and\n\n7. \"Transports\" or \"transportation\" means any movement of\n\nproperty over the highway and any loading, unloading or storage\n\nincidental to such movement.","path":["OK Code","Title 47"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os47.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"2eedf81ad5526a4cb35d80cce02b606e774ea7fff65cd64c346a59297166a922","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-230.29","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-230.30"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
