Any person or persons who shall destroy, remove, cover,\n\nalter or deface, or cause to be destroyed, removed, covered, altered\n\nor defaced, the engine number or other distinguishing number of any\n\nvehicle in this state, without first giving notice of such act to\n\nService Oklahoma, upon such form as Service Oklahoma may prescribe,\n\nor any person who shall give a wrong description in any application\n\nfor the registration of any vehicle in this state for the purpose of\n\nconcealing or hiding the identity of such vehicle, shall be deemed\n\nguilty of a Class D1 felony offense and upon conviction thereof\n\nshall be punished by imprisonment as provided for in subsections B\n\nthrough F of Section 20N of Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nB. A person who buys, receives, possesses, sells or disposes of\n\na vehicle or an engine for a vehicle, knowing that the\n\nidentification number of the vehicle or engine has been removed or\n\nfalsified, shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a misdemeanor.\n\nC. A person who buys, receives, possesses, sells or disposes of\n\na vehicle or an engine for a vehicle, with knowledge that the\n\nidentification number of the vehicle or engine has been removed or\n\nfalsified and with intent to conceal or misrepresent the identity of\n\nthe vehicle or engine, shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a Class\n\nD1 felony offense and shall be punished as provided for in\n\nsubsections B through F of Section 20N of Title 21 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes.\n\nD. A person who removes a license plate from a vehicle or\n\naffixes to a vehicle a license plate not authorized by law for use\n\non said vehicle with intent to conceal or misrepresent the identity\n\nof the vehicle or its owner shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a\n\nmisdemeanor.\n\nE. As used in this section:\n\n1. \"Identification number\" includes an identifying number,\n\nserial number, engine number or other distinguishing number or mark,\n\nplaced on a vehicle or engine by its manufacturer or by authority of\n\nthe Oklahoma Tax Commission or in accordance with the laws of\n\nanother state or country;\n\n2. \"Remove\" includes deface, cover and destroy; and\n\n3. \"Falsify\" includes alter and forge.\n\nF.
