Stat. tit. 47, § 47-40-107","heading":"Federal Highway Safety Act of 1966 - Securing of","body":"benefits under.\n\nThe Governor, in addition to other duties and responsibilities\n\nconferred upon him by the constitution and laws of this state is\n\nhereby empowered to contract and to do all other things necessary to\n\nsecure the full benefits available to this state and its political\n\nsubdivisions under the Federal Highway Safety Act of 1966, and in so\n\ndoing, to cooperate with federal and state agencies, private and\n\npublic organizations, and with individuals to effectuate the\n\npurposes of this enactment, and any and all subsequent amendments\n\nthereto, and to accept and take advantage of any federal grants or\n\nfunds which are, or may hereafter be made available to the state in\n\ncarrying out the provisions of this act, and in law enforcement\n\ntraining. The Governor shall be responsible for and is hereby\n\nempowered to coordinate and administer through such appropriate\n\nagencies or officers of this state as he shall designate or appoint\n\nan individual coordinator and any clerical assistance necessary to\n\nadminister the related Highway Safety Programs of this state and\n\nthose of its political subdivisions, all in accordance with said act\n\nand federal rules and regulations in implementation thereof.","path":["OK Code","Title 47"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os47.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"c598b408bc204651111268bef3c2bcf20f4ada24790423f8b7e4a420b720c275","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-40-105","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-40-121"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
