Stat. tit. 47, § 47-565.4","heading":"Authority of new motor vehicle or new powersports","body":"vehicle dealers to offer remote software upgrades.\n\nAny manufacturer or distributor who has new motor vehicle or new\n\npowersports vehicle sales and service agreements with new motor\n\nvehicle or new powersports vehicle dealers in this state shall allow\n\nits dealers to offer consumers any remote software upgrade or change\n\nto vehicle functions and features to a new motor vehicle or new\n\npowersports vehicle which is of a line-make the dealer holds an\n\nactive sales and service contract for, as any offered to consumers\n\nby the manufacturer or distributor, and such upgrade or change shall\n\nbe available for an authorized dealer to offer to consumers at any\n\ntime during the life cycle of the vehicle, and subject to the\n\nmanufacturer or distributor's requirements, provided the same\n\ncontinues to be made available and offered to consumers in this\n\nstate by the manufacturer or distributor. This section does not\n\napply to remote software upgrades or changes administered at no cost\n\nto the consumer or related solely to the safety, regulatory\n\nrequirements, cybersecurity, recall of a motor vehicle or\n\npowersports vehicle, Oklahoma Statutes, or federal statutes.\n\nNothing in this section shall be construed to limit or impair a\n\nmanufacturer or distributor's intellectual property rights, or to\n\ngrant a new vehicle dealer authority to sell, copy, modify, or use\n\nthe manufacturer's or distributor's intellectual property in a\n\nmanner that has not been authorized by the manufacturer or\n\ndistributor.
