Stat. tit. 47, § 47-580.2","heading":"Insurance coverage on vehicles on loan from authorized","body":"motor vehicle or powersports vehicle dealer.\n\nDuring the time a person is operating a motor vehicle or\n\npowersports vehicle with the express or implied permission of a new\n\nmotor vehicle or new powersports vehicle dealer, as defined in\n\nSection 562 of this title, such person's motor vehicle liability\n\npolicy shall have primary coverage with the motor vehicle liability\n\npolicy of the dealer having secondary coverage until the vehicle is\n\nreturned. As used herein, \"motor vehicle liability policy\" means\n\nmotor vehicle insurance against legal liability for the death,\n\ninjury, or disability of any human being, or for damage to real or\n\npersonal property. The motor vehicle liability policy of any person\n\nwho has been loaned a motor vehicle or powersports vehicle by a\n\ndealer pursuant to the terms of this section shall provide primary\n\ncoverage for any death or injury of any human being or for any real\n\nor personal property damage, including damage to the loaned vehicle,\n\nwith the motor vehicle insurance policy of the dealer having\n\nsecondary coverage for any death or injury of any human being or for\n\nany real or personal property damage, including damage to the loaned\n\nvehicle. The change in financial responsibility shall be evidenced\n\nby a release signed by the person operating the vehicle with the\n\nexpress or implied permission of the dealer with the release to be\n\nreturned to the person upon the return of the motor vehicle or\n\npowersports vehicle to the dealer.
