Stat. tit. 47, § 47-591.2","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in Section 591.1 et seq. of this title:\n\n1. \"Automotive dismantler and parts recycler\" means a person,\n\nfirm or corporation engaged in the business of purchasing,\n\ndismantling, or disassembling used motor vehicles for the purpose of\n\nselling the parts thereof, but shall not include a person who is\n\nprimarily engaged in the business of rebuilding repairable motor\n\nvehicles;\n\n2. \"Motor vehicle\" means every automobile, motorcycle, mobile\n\ntrailer, semitrailer, truck, truck-tractor, trailer and other device\n\nwhich is self-propelled or drawn, in, upon, or by which any person\n\nor property is or may be transported or drawn upon a public highway,\n\nexcept such as is moved by animal power or used exclusively upon\n\nstationary rails or tracks, or an implement of husbandry;\n\n3. \"Place of business\" means the place owned or leased and\n\nregularly occupied by a person, firm or corporation engaged in the\n\nbusiness of an automotive dismantler and parts recycler, where the\n\nproducts for sale are displayed and offered for sale, and where the\n\nbooks and records required for the conduct of the business are\n\nmaintained and kept;\n\n4. \"Salvage pool\" means any person or business which regularly\n\nconducts a salvage disposal sale;\n\n5. \"Salvage disposal sale\" means a scheduled sale at auction or\n\nby private bid of wrecked or repairable motor vehicles by insurance\n\nunderwriters, or insurance companies, used motor vehicle dealers or\n\nautomotive dismantlers and parts recyclers, either retail or\n\nwholesale; and\n\n6. \"Commission\" means the Oklahoma Used Motor Vehicle,\n\nDismantler, and Manufactured Housing Commission; and\n\n7. \"License\" means the license issued pursuant to Section 591.1\n\net seq. of this title to operate an automotive dismantler and parts\n\nrecycler business.","path":["OK Code","Title 47"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os47.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"18c1345ad42c63a7bc3df7977c17643d5d5fdc0529792e07a3ee99617c503043","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-591.14","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-591.3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
