Stat. tit. 47, § 47-591.4","heading":"Application for license – Form - Grounds for refusal to","body":"issue license or B.I.D. card.\n\nA. Every person, firm or corporation desiring to engage in the\n\nbusiness of an automotive dismantler and parts recycler shall apply\n\nin writing, on a form to be prescribed by the Oklahoma Used Motor\n\nVehicle, Dismantler, and Manufactured Housing Commission, which form\n\nshall contain:\n\n1. The name of the applicant;\n\n2. The street address of the applicant's principal place of\n\nbusiness;\n\n3. The type of business organization of the applicant;\n\n4. The applicant's financial statement;\n\n5. The legal description of the proposed place of business,\n\ntogether with written verification from the appropriate local\n\nauthorities that the place of business meets the licensing and\n\nzoning requirements of the municipality or county where located; and\n\n6. Such additional information as may be required by the\n\nCommission.\n\nB. Notwithstanding subsection A of this section, the Commission\n\nmay decline to issue an original license to any person, firm or\n\ncorporation that does not, in good faith, meet the requirements of\n\nthe Automotive Dismantlers and Parts Recycler Act; or whose proposed\n\nplace of business does not meet the applicable zoning requirements;\n\nor whose proposed use is deemed inappropriate by the Commission due\n\nto surrounding property uses or objections from the immediate\n\nsurrounding neighbors, such that the place of business would be\n\ndeemed to be a private or public nuisance; or whose place of\n\nbusiness is not properly screened by natural objects, plantings,\n\nopaque fences of a height not less than six (6) nor more than eight\n\n(8) feet or other appropriate sightproofing, so as to screen where\n\npossible vehicles and parts stored outside of buildings from view\n\nfrom immediately adjacent property.","path":["OK Code","Title 47"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os47.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"e9bcab1ecf684ef09d3792de53479caeaebf6592e66b5e9e8af89fc555731e6b","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-591.3","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-591.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
