All of the following conditions apply if a new recreational\n\nvehicle is damaged before it is shipped to a dealer, or is damaged\n\nin transit to the dealer and the manufacturer selected the carrier\n\nor means of transportation:\n\n1. The dealer shall notify the manufacturer of the damage\n\nwithin the time period specified in the dealer agreement and do one\n\nof the following:\n\na. in the notice, request authorization to replace the\n\ncomponents, parts, and accessories damaged, or\n\notherwise correct the damage, from the manufacturer,\n\nor\n\nb. reject the recreational vehicle within the time period\n\nspecified in the dealer agreement;\n\n2. If the manufacturer refuses or fails to authorize repair of\n\nthe damage within ten (10) days after receiving notice under\n\nparagraph 1 of this subsection or if the dealer rejects the\n\nrecreational vehicle because of the damage within the time period\n\nspecified in the dealer agreement, ownership of the recreational\n\nvehicle reverts to the manufacturer; and\n\n3. The dealer shall exercise due care in the custody of the\n\ndamaged recreational vehicle; provided, the dealer shall have no\n\nfinancial or other obligation with respect to that recreational\n\nvehicle.\n\nB. A dealer agreement shall include a time period for\n\ninspection and rejection of damaged recreational vehicles under\n\nsubsection A of this section that is not less than two (2) business\n\ndays after the physical delivery of the recreational vehicle to the\n\ndealer.\n\nC. If a dealer determines that a new recreational vehicle has\n\nan unreasonable number of miles on the odometer at the time the\n\nrecreational vehicle is delivered to the dealer, the dealer may\n\nreject the recreational vehicle and said ownership of the\n\nrecreational vehicle shall revert to the manufacturer. However, if\n\nthe number of miles on the odometer of the recreational vehicle is\n\nless than the sum of the distance between the dealer and the factory\n\nof the manufacturer or point of distribution plus one hundred (100)\n\nmiles, the dealer may not consider the number of miles on the\n\nodometer unreasonable for purposes of this subsection.","path":["OK Code","Title 47"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os47.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"5199533221cf9d64ca66a3f7e4405a6536a74e54183282c28c27b1e5369e8bfb","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-596.11","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-596.13"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
