Stat. tit. 47, § 47-6-114","heading":"Replacement license – Proof of identity - Removal of","body":"endorsements or restrictions.\n\nA. 1. In the event that a driver license is lost, destroyed,\n\nor requires the updating of any information, restriction or\n\nendorsement displayed thereon, the person to whom such license was\n\nissued may obtain a replacement thereof pursuant to the provisions\n\nof subsection G of Section 6-101 of this title, and upon payment of\n\nthe required fee. If the person is an alien, the person shall\n\nappear before Service Oklahoma or a licensed operator and, after\n\nfurnishing proof of identity as required in this section, shall be\n\nissued a replacement driver license for a period which does not\n\nexceed the lesser of:\n\na. the expiration date of the license being replaced, or\n\nb. the expiration date on the valid documentation\n\nauthorizing the presence of the person in the United\n\nStates, as required by paragraph 9 of subsection A of\n\nSection 6-103 of this title.\n\n2. The cost of a replacement license shall be Twenty-five\n\nDollars ($25.00), which shall be apportioned and credited by Service\n\nOklahoma as follows:\n\na. Two Dollars ($2.00) shall be apportioned as provided\n\nin Section 1104 of this title,\n\nb. Three Dollars ($3.00) shall be credited to the General\n\nRevenue Fund of the State Treasury,\n\nc. Five Dollars ($5.00) shall be credited to the\n\nDepartment of Public Safety Computer Imaging System\n\nRevolving Fund to be used solely for the purpose of\n\nadministering and maintaining the computer imaging\n\nsystem of the Department through October 31, 2022.\n\nBeginning November 1, 2022, Five Dollars ($5.00) shall\n\nbe credited to the Service Oklahoma Computer Imaging\n\nSystem Revolving Fund to be used solely for the\n\npurpose of administering and maintaining the computer\n\nimaging system of Service Oklahoma,\n\nd. Ten Dollars ($10.00) shall be credited to the\n\nRevolving Fund of the Department of Public Safety\n\nthrough October 31, 2022. Beginning November 1, 2022,\n\nthe Ten Dollars ($10.00) shall be credited to the\n\nService Oklahoma Revolving Fund,\n\ne. Three Dollars ($3.00) shall be credited to the State\n\nPublic Safety Fund created in Section 2-147 of this\n\ntitle, and\n\nf. (1) Two Dollars ($2.00) of the fee authorized by this\n\nparagraph related to the replacement of a driver\n\nlicense by a licensed operator that does not\n\nprocess approved applications or renewals for\n\nREAL ID Compliant Driver Licenses or\n\nIdentification Cards shall be credited, in\n\naddition to the amount authorized by subparagraph\n\ne of this paragraph, to the State Public Safety\n\nFund created in Section 2-147 of this title, or\n\n(2) Two Dollars ($2.00) of the fee authorized by this\n\nparagraph related to the replacement of a driver\n\nlicense by a licensed operator that does process\n\napproved applications or renewals for REAL ID\n\nCompliant Driver Licenses or Identification Cards\n\nshall be retained by the licensed operator\n\nthrough June 30, 2023. Beginning July 1, 2023,\n\nthese monies shall be retained by the licensed\n\noperator pursuant to subsection E of Section\n\n1141.1 of this title.\n\n3. Service Oklahoma shall promulgate rules prescribing forms of\n\nprimary and secondary identification acceptable for replacement of\n\nan Oklahoma driver license; provided, however, a valid and unexpired\n\nU.S. passport shall be acceptable as both primary and secondary\n\nidentification.\n\nB. Any person desiring to add or remove an endorsement or\n\nendorsements or a restriction or restrictions to any existing driver\n\nlicense, when authorized by Service Oklahoma, shall obtain a\n\nreplacement license with the endorsement or endorsements or the\n\nrestriction or restrictions change thereon and shall be charged the\n\nfee for a replacement license as provided in subsection A of this\n\nsection.","path":["OK Code","Title 47"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os47.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"4056b2a93fcdd4dbb4ac5673eaa6e7d7a826a885728c4e05ecce9d039fc38f27","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-6-113","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-6-115"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
