Stat. tit. 47, § 47-6-202.1","heading":"Diplomatic immunity – Verification – Records to be","body":"submitted to United States Department of State – Severability.\n\nA. If any vehicle operator who displays to a law enforcement\n\nofficer a driver license issued by the United States Department of\n\nState or who otherwise claims immunities or privileges under Title\n\n22, Chapter 6 of the United States Code with respect to the\n\nviolation of Article 27, Section 388, 388a, or 388b of the Code by\n\nthe individual, or a moving violation under the vehicle laws or\n\nregulations of this state or any local authority, when the operator\n\nis stopped by a law enforcement officer who has probable cause to\n\nbelieve that the operator has committed a violation, the officer\n\nshall:\n\n1. As soon as practicable contact the United States Department\n\nof State office in order to verify the status and immunity of the\n\ndriver, if any;\n\n2. Record all relevant information from any driver license or\n\nidentification card, including a driver license or identification\n\ncard issued by the United States Department of State; and\n\n3. Within five (5) working days after the date of the stop,\n\nforward the following to the Department of Public Safety:\n\na. a vehicle collision report, if the driver was involved\n\nin a vehicle collision,\n\nb. if a citation was issued to the driver, a copy of the\n\ncitation, and,\n\nc. if a citation was not issued to the driver, a written\n\nreport of the incident.\n\nB. The Department of Public Safety shall:\n\n1. File and keep convenient records of each document and record\n\ndescribed in paragraph 3 of subsection A of this section; and\n\n2. Send a copy of each document and record described in\n\nparagraph 3 of subsection A of this section to the Bureau of\n\nDiplomatic Security, Office of Foreign Missions, United States\n\nDepartment of State.\n\nC. The provisions of this section do not prohibit or limit the\n\napplication of any law regarding a criminal or motor vehicle\n\nviolation by any person who has or claims immunities or privileges\n\nunder Title 22, Chapter 6 of the United States Code.\n\nD.
