Stat. tit. 47, § 47-6-212.2","heading":"Required completion of alcohol and drug assessment and","body":"evaluation.\n\nA. Whenever the records of Service Oklahoma reflect a\n\nconviction of a person pursuant to Section 11-902 of this title or\n\nan alcohol- or drug-related revocation or suspension of the driving\n\nprivileges of that person pursuant to the provisions of paragraph 2\n\nor 6 of subsection A of Section 6-205 or to Section 6-205.1, 6-206,\n\n753, 754 or 761 of this title, the person shall participate in an\n\nalcohol and drug assessment and evaluation by an assessment agency\n\nor assessment personnel certified by the Department of Mental Health\n\nand Substance Abuse Services for the purpose of evaluating the\n\nperson's receptivity to treatment and prognosis. As determined by\n\nthe assessment, the person shall enroll in, attend and successfully\n\ncomplete the appropriate alcohol and drug substance abuse course\n\ncertified by the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse\n\nServices or an alcohol or other drug treatment program or both. The\n\nalcohol and drug substance abuse course shall consist of either ten\n\n(10) hours or twenty-four (24) hours of instruction and shall\n\nconform with the provisions of Section 3-453 of Title 43A of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes. For purposes of this subsection, the requirement\n\nfor alcohol and drug substance abuse evaluation shall be considered\n\nsatisfied if the person is evaluated by an assessment agency or\n\nassessment personnel certified for that purpose, all recommendations\n\nidentified by the evaluation are satisfied by the person, and a\n\nreport of such evaluation and completion is presented to the court\n\nprior to sentencing and to Service Oklahoma.\n\nB. If the assessment agency or assessment personnel in\n\nsubsection A of this section determine that the person would likely\n\nbenefit from a United-States-Food-and-Drug-Administration-approved\n\nmedication-assisted treatment that is indicated for alcohol\n\ndependence or opioid dependence, the assessment agency or assessment\n\npersonnel shall refer the defendant to a licensed physician for\n\nfurther evaluation. Only a licensed physician may recommend that a\n\ndefendant take medication-assisted treatment, and the defendant\n\nshall maintain the right to refuse the medication.\n\nC.
