The Insurance Commissioner may contract with a statewide\n\nassociation of county sheriffs in Oklahoma to serve as the Plan\n\nAdministrator.\n\nB. The daily rate for temporary insurance under the Oklahoma\n\nTemporary Motorist Liability Plan for the following calendar year\n\nshall be announced on the first Monday in December. The daily cost\n\nof coverage and administrative fee shall be paid to the county\n\nsheriff's office or municipal police department and the fine and\n\ncourt fees associated with the traffic ticket shall be paid to the\n\ncourt clerk. The daily cost of coverage shall be calculated on each\n\ntwenty-four-hour period from the time the citation was issued\n\npursuant to subparagraph b of paragraph 1 of subsection A of Section\n\n7-606 of this title, rounding up. The county sheriff's office or\n\nmunicipal police department shall not waive premium dues for any\n\ndefendant, except as provided in subsection D of this section. The\n\ncounty sheriff's office or municipal police department shall remit\n\nall proceeds from the daily cost of insurance to the Plan on the\n\nfirst business day of each month to the Plan Administrator. The\n\nPlan Administrator shall remit the total statewide monthly premium\n\nto the appropriate insurance carrier within sixty (60) days of the\n\npremium being earned.\n\nC. If for any reason the premium is not collected, then the\n\nOklahoma Temporary Motorist Liability Plan shall pay the premium out\n\nof the Temporary Insurance Premium Pool.\n\nD. If the citation issued pursuant to subparagraph b of\n\nparagraph 1 of subsection A of Section 7-606 of this title is\n\ndismissed without cost, the coverage provided under the Plan is\n\nconsidered never activated and the premium is considered unearned\n\nand shall be waived.\n\nE.
