Stat. tit. 47, § 47-759.1","heading":"Abolition of Alcohol Drug Countermeasures Unit -","body":"Transfer of powers, duties, and responsibilities.\n\nA. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, effective July\n\n1, 2003, the Alcohol Drug Countermeasures Unit of the Department of\n\nPublic Safety is hereby abolished. The powers, duties, and\n\nresponsibilities exercised by the Unit listed in this section\n\npursuant to law shall be transferred to the Board of Tests for\n\nAlcohol and Drug Influence. All records, property, matters pending,\n\nobligations and funds of the Unit shall be transferred to the Board\n\nof Tests for Alcohol and Drug Influence pursuant to the provisions\n\nof this section.\n\nB. The employees of the Alcohol Drug Countermeasures Unit of\n\nthe Department of Public Safety whose duties are transferred\n\npursuant to this section shall be transferred to the Board of Tests\n\nfor Alcohol and Drug Influence or may accept another position with\n\nthe Department of Public Safety. Employees transferred pursuant to\n\nthis section shall not be required to accept a lesser grade or\n\nsalary than entitled to on the effective date of the transfer. No\n\nentrance exam shall be required for any employee transferred\n\npursuant to this section.
