No person shall rent a motor vehicle to any other person\n\nunless the person to whom the vehicle is to be rented is duly\n\nlicensed to operate a motor vehicle as required under this act or,\n\nin the case of a nonresident, then duly licensed under the laws of\n\nthe state or country of his or her residence.\n\nB. No person shall rent a motor vehicle to another until he or\n\nshe has inspected the driver license of the person to whom the\n\nvehicle is to be rented and compared and verified the signature\n\nthereon with the signature of such person written in his or her\n\npresence.\n\nC. Every person renting a motor vehicle to another shall keep a\n\nrecord of the registration number of the motor vehicle so rented,\n\nthe name and address and driver license number of the person to whom\n\nthe vehicle is rented, the expiration date of said license and place\n\nwhere said license was issued.
