Stat. tit. 47, § 47-855.1","heading":"Official inspectors – License – Revocation or","body":"suspension.\n\nA. 1. The Commissioner of Public Safety shall designate official inspectors\n\nand shall issue licenses for and furnish instructions and all necessary forms to\n\nsaid official inspectors for the inspection of vehicles and the issuance of\n\nofficial certificates of inspection or rejection.\n\n2. Application for a license as an official inspector shall be made upon an\n\nofficial form and shall be granted only when the Commissioner of Public Safety,\n\nafter appropriate training, examination and investigation, is satisfied that the\n\napplicant is eligible in accordance with the requirements as prescribed by the\n\nCommissioner to make such inspections. The Commissioner shall prescribe by rule\n\nthe training requirements for all official inspectors, and the applicant shall\n\ncomplete all training requirements, including any subsequent additional training\n\nrequirements which the Commissioner deems necessary for licensed official\n\ninspectors.\n\n3. The Commissioner and the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology\n\nEducation may enter into an interlocal agreement to carry out the requirements of\n\nthis subsection.\n\nB. Any employee of a station, facility or conversion center which converts\n\nmotor vehicles to have the capability of being fueled by alternative fuels, as\n\ndefined by Section 130.2 of Title 74 of the Oklahoma Statutes, may be authorized\n\nby the Commissioner to perform inspections as provided in Chapter 70 of this\n\ntitle. Subject to the application requirements specified in this section, the\n\nCommissioner of Public Safety shall issue an official inspector license to any\n\nsuch person who qualifies for a license as an official inspector.\n\nC. The Commissioner of Public Safety shall properly supervise and cause\n\ninspections to be made of the performance of persons licensed under this section\n\nand shall suspend or revoke and require the surrender of the license issued to the\n\nperson who is not properly conducting inspections.\n\nD. No license shall be revoked or suspended except upon notice to the\n\nlicensee and to the employer of the licensee and after an opportunity to be heard\n\nby the Commissioner. A license may be temporarily suspended without notice\n\npending any investigation or hearing.
