Stat. tit. 47, § 47-903","heading":"Notice of impoundment - Civil liability","body":"Any such officer who has directed the impoundment of any\n\nvehicle, or an authorized person in the employing agency of the\n\nofficer, shall within seventy-two (72) hours of the impoundment\n\nnotify the Department of Public Safety of such impoundment. The\n\nnotice of impoundment shall contain the name and address of the\n\nowner, if known, the make, model, vehicle identification number,\n\nregistration number, date stored, place stored and the estimated\n\nvalue of the vehicle as determined by the officer. Upon receipt of\n\nsuch notice of impoundment, the Department of Public Safety shall,\n\nwithin seventy-two (72) hours, request Service Oklahoma or other\n\nappropriate licensed operators to furnish the name and address of\n\nthe owner of and any lienholder on the vehicle and shall within\n\nthree (3) days from receipt of the requested information send a\n\nnotice to the owner and any lienholder by regular mail, postage\n\nprepaid, at the addresses furnished by Service Oklahoma or the\n\nlicensed operator, of the location of the vehicle.
