If a notary’s resident address changes, the notary must\n\ninform the Secretary of State in writing within thirty (30) days of\n\nsuch change. The notary is not required to file a new bond or\n\nobtain another seal if the notary moves from one county to another.\n\nB. If a name change occurs in the middle of a term, the notary\n\nhas two options:\n\n1. The notary may continue to use the former name as issued on\n\nthe existing commission until it expires; or\n\n2. The notary may use the notary’s new name by completing and\n\nfiling an application with the Secretary of State with a fee of\n\nTwenty-five Dollars ($25.00). A new commission expiration date will\n\nbe established.
