Stat. tit. 49, § 49-210","heading":"Termination of notary public's commission","body":"TERMINATION OF NOTARY PUBLIC'S COMMISSION. A. Except as\n\nprovided by subsection B of this section, a notary public authorized\n\nto perform remote online notarial acts whose commission is\n\nterminated or revoked shall destroy the coding, disk, certificate,\n\ncard, software or password that enables the notary public to attach\n\nor logically associate the notary public's electronic signature and\n\nelectronic seal to an electronic record. A notary public subject to\n\nthe provisions of this subsection shall certify compliance with this\n\nsubsection to the Secretary of State. On the death or adjudication\n\nof incompetency of a notary public, the notary public's personal\n\nrepresentative or guardian shall comply with the provisions of this\n\nsubsection.\n\nB. A former notary public whose commission is terminated for a\n\nreason other than revocation is not required to destroy the items\n\ndescribed by subsection A of this section if the former notary\n\npublic receives a new commission as a notary public within three (3)\n\nmonths of the termination of the notary public's former commission.\n\nC. A notary public's electronic signature and electronic seal\n\nshall be destroyed under subsection A of this section if:\n\n1. The notary public's name changes during the term of the\n\nnotary public's commission; and\n\n2. The notary public elects to use the notary public's new name\n\nunder a new commission pursuant to paragraph 2 of subsection B of\n\nSection 11 of Title 49 of the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nD.
