Stat. tit. 5, § 5-11","heading":"Licensed attorneys and their spouses - Prohibition on","body":"becoming sureties - Effect of unauthorized bond.\n\nLicensed attorneys of this state, their spouses or anyone to\n\nwhom said attorneys have conveyed property for the purpose of\n\nsigning bonds for said attorneys, are prohibited from signing any\n\nbonds as surety in any civil or criminal action, pending or about to\n\nbe commenced in any of the courts of this state, or before any\n\njustice of the peace. No court clerk or judicial officer of this\n\nstate shall accept any bonds signed by licensed attorneys, their\n\nspouses or anyone to whom said attorneys have conveyed property for\n\nthe purpose of signing bonds for said attorneys.
