Stat. tit. 50, § 50-16","heading":"Cities and towns - Power to define and summarily abate","body":"nuisances.\n\nA. Cities and towns in this state shall have the right and\n\npower to determine what is and what shall constitute a nuisance\n\nwithin their respective corporate limits, and for the protection of\n\nthe public health, the public parks and the public water supply,\n\nshall have such power outside of the corporate limits; and wherever\n\nit is practical so to do, the cities and towns shall have the power\n\nsummarily to abate any such nuisance after notice to the owner, and\n\nan opportunity for him to be heard, if this can be given. Any\n\naction conducted by critical infrastructure sectors shall not\n\nconstitute a nuisance when the applicable industry acts in\n\ncompliance with or acts consistently with government rules,\n\nguidelines, laws and municipal ordinances or laws applicable to\n\ntheir sector.\n\nB. For purposes of this section, \"critical infrastructure\n\nsectors\" means any of the critical infrastructure sectors identified\n\nby the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) whose\n\nassets, systems and networks, whether physical or virtual, are\n\nconsidered so vital to the United States and the state that the\n\nsectors' incapacitation or destruction would have a debilitating\n\neffect on security, economic security, public health or safety or\n\nany combination thereof.","path":["OK Code","Title 50"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os50.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"3b8ccb6111f03bf9d66812d8f979e1521c33ecf862f91bf20d489405a748ce68","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-50-50-15","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-50-50-17"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
