The Department of Wildlife Conservation shall keep\n\nconfidential the information provided by persons, including the name\n\nand address of the person, applying for or holding any permit or\n\nlicense issued by the Department, to the extent the information\n\nindividually identifies the person. The Department may use the\n\ninformation for Department purposes or allow the United States Fish\n\nand Wildlife Service to use the information for survey purposes\n\nonly. The Department shall allow any public body to have access to\n\nthe information for purposes specifically related to the public\n\nbody's function.\n\nB. The provisions of subsection A of this section shall not\n\napply to information provided by persons applying for or holding a\n\ncommercial hunting or fishing license.\n\nC. The provisions of subsection A of this section shall not\n\napply to information voluntarily provided by persons for promotional\n\npurposes by the Department.\n\nD. Based upon the information required to be submitted through\n\nthe electronic game harvest check system for harvested deer, the\n\nDepartment shall publicly disclose, in a timely manner, online or in\n\npublished listings, by county of harvest, an antler description of\n\neach deer harvested and the name of the hunter who harvested the\n\ndeer. The hunter shall be allowed to choose when entering the\n\nharvest information whether or not the name of the hunter is\n\nreleased.
