Stat. tit. 52, § 52-239","heading":"Common source of supply - Apportionment and regulation to","body":"prevent waste.\n\nAny person, firm or corporation, having the right to drill into\n\nand produce gas from any common source of supply, may take therefrom\n\nonly such proportion of the natural gas that may be marketed without\n\nwaste, as the natural flow of the well or wells owned or controlled\n\nby the person, firm or corporation bears to the total natural flow\n\nof such common source of supply having due regard to the acreage\n\ndrained by each well, so as to prevent the person, firm or\n\ncorporation securing any unfair proportion of the gas from the\n\ncommon source of supply. Except as otherwise provided in this\n\nsection, the Corporation Commission is authorized and directed to\n\nprescribe rules for the determination of the natural flow of any\n\nwell or wells, and to promulgate field rules to regulate the taking\n\nof natural gas from any or all common sources of supply within the\n\nstate, so as to prevent waste as the same is defined in Section 86.3\n\nof this title, protect the interests of the public, and the\n\ncorrelative rights of all those having a right to produce from the\n\ncommon source of supply, and to prevent unreasonable discrimination\n\nin favor of any one common source of supply as against another.\n\nExcept for the common source of supply referred to as the Guymon-\n\nHugoton, the Commission shall have no authority to prescribe or\n\nenforce rules under this section for the taking of natural gas from\n\nany other common source of supply when the average pressure of such\n\nother common source of supply declines to below one hundred (100)\n\npounds per square inch gauge or the average production per well in\n\nthe common source of supply declines below two hundred thousand\n\n(200,000) standard cubic feet per day for each day of the last\n\ncalendar year.","path":["OK Code","Title 52"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os52.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"e81427c23de5fceb9a09f2284cc7b94cbe59a662bc377fb9df94e4ba17baea34","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-52-52-238","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-52-52-24"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
