Stat. tit. 52, § 52-27","heading":"Right-of-way - Highways - Eminent domain - Foreign","body":"corporations - Negligent injuries.\n\nEvery domestic pipeline company in this state is hereby given\n\nauthority to build, construct, lay and maintain gas pipelines, over,\n\nunder, across, or through all highways, bridges, streets or alleys\n\nin this state or any public place under the supervision of the\n\nCorporation Commission as to where and how in said highways,\n\nbridges, streets, alleys and public places said pipelines shall be\n\nlaid. Provided the right to lay gas pipelines in cities shall be\n\nacquired as now provided by law, and subject to the responsibility\n\nas otherwise provided by law for any negligent injury thereby\n\ncaused. All persons, natural or artificial, except foreign\n\ncorporations, shall have the right of eminent domain, and any right\n\nor privilege hereby conferred, when necessary to make effective the\n\npurposes of this act and the rights thereby conferred.
