Stat. tit. 52, § 52-30.1","heading":"Electronic natural gas measuring systems - Audit of","body":"certain leases and collection of royalties.\n\nA. The Commissioners of the Land Office and the Gross\n\nProduction Tax Division of the Oklahoma Tax Commission are hereby\n\nauthorized to enter into such contracts and agreements as are\n\nnecessary to purchase electronic measuring systems for natural gas\n\nproduced from wells located within the State of Oklahoma as follows:\n\n1. Such electronic measuring systems should make use of the\n\nbest technology available and conform to all standards set forth by\n\nthe American Gas Association, the American Petroleum Institute, the\n\nAmerican National Standards Institute, or the American Society of\n\nMetalogical Engineers, or any other industry-wide standards which\n\nmay hereafter be adopted;\n\n2. The systems must have fail-safe security that will detect if\n\nthe system has been tampered with; and\n\n3. Any purchase made under the authority granted by this act\n\nshall comply with the requirements of Sections 85.1 et seq. of Title\n\n74 of the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nB. The Commissioners of the Land Office and the Gross\n\nProduction Tax Division of the Oklahoma Tax Commission are hereby\n\ngranted the authority to employ the professionals necessary to\n\ninstall, maintain and monitor the measuring systems as provided for\n\nin subsection A of this section.\n\nC. The Commissioners shall audit all oil and gas leases\n\ncovering royalties for the past five (5) years, to determine if the\n\nstate is receiving royalties in the percentage called for in such\n\nleases, and if not, the Commissioners shall initiate appropriate\n\nlegal proceedings to collect the same, plus interest.","path":["OK Code","Title 52"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os52.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"c28b112540fc42601c2cfae24ae249987acbcf2d94a253319900f2650413ce25","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-52-52-30","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-52-52-302"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
