Sections 318.21 through 318.23 of this title shall be known\n\nand may be cited as the \"Seismic Exploration Regulation Act\".\n\nB. As used in the Seismic Exploration Regulation Act:\n\n1. \"Seismic exploration\" means the drilling of seismograph test\n\nholes and use of surface energy sources such as weight drop\n\nequipment, thumpers, hydropulses or vibrators, and any of the\n\nactivities associated therewith;\n\n2. \"Operator\" or \"applicant\" means a person or entity who is\n\neither the owner of the right to conduct seismic exploration or\n\nacting on behalf of the owner;\n\n3. \"Surface estate\" means the same as defined in Section 802 of\n\nthis title; and\n\n4. \"Surface owner\" means the owner or owners of record of the\n\nsurface estate of the property upon which the seismic exploration is\n\nto occur, based upon the records of the county clerk of the county\n\nwithin which the surface estate is actually located.","path":["OK Code","Title 52"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os52.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"fb391b31d5b78f715de4f46f459f88f2df26d84f7d24b1820a09efe7f699dea3","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-52-52-318.2","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-52-52-318.22"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
