The Liquefied Petroleum Gas Research, Marketing and Safety\n\nCommission shall be composed of at least twelve (12) members. The\n\ntwelve members shall be LP gas dealers who are holders of a permit\n\nfrom the State Liquefied Petroleum Gas Administration; four to be\n\nappointed by the Governor, four to be appointed by the President Pro\n\nTempore of the Senate and four to be appointed by the Speaker of the\n\nHouse of Representatives. The Governor, President Pro Tempore of\n\nthe Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives shall make\n\nappointments of the LP gas dealers from a list of names submitted by\n\nthe Oklahoma Propane Gas Association.\n\nB. The members of the Commission shall:\n\n1. Be at least twenty-five (25) years of age;\n\n2. Be a resident of the State of Oklahoma; and\n\n3. Have at least five (5) years of active experience in the LP\n\ngas industry.\n\nC. The membership of the Commission shall be distributed\n\ngeographically so that each quadrant of the state is represented\n\nequally. Each appointing authority shall make one appointment from\n\neach quadrant of the state. The boundaries of the quadrants shall\n\nbe Interstate 35 and Interstate 40. A person shall be considered as\n\nrepresenting a quadrant of the state if the person's permanent\n\nresidence is located in the quadrant.\n\nD. Not more than two members of the Commission shall be\n\nemployed by or represent the same person, business, corporation or\n\nentity or any subsidiary of an entity.\n\nE. The initial term of office for members of the Commission\n\nshall be as follows: three members for one (1) year, three members\n\nfor two (2) years and six members for three (3) years.\n\nFor the initial appointments which shall be made by September 1,\n\n1994, each appointing authority shall make one appointment for a\n\none-year term, one appointment for a two-year term and two\n\nappointments for three-year terms. Thereafter, the terms of the\n\nmembers shall be for three (3) years.\n\nF. Vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired term of office\n\nin the same manner as the original appointment. The dealer members\n\nmay be removed from office by a majority vote of the three\n\nappointing authorities in a manner as provided by law.\n\nG. After October 1, 1994, the members of the Commission\n\nappointed pursuant to subsection A of this section may by majority\n\nvote appoint a maximum of three members representing companies which\n\nprovide goods and services to propane dealers. These additional\n\nmembers shall have full voting rights and privileges and will serve\n\nthree-year terms. They may be removed from the Commission by a\n\nmajority vote of the LP gas dealer members of the Commission\n\nappointed pursuant to subsection A of this section.\n\nH. The Commission shall at its first meeting elect one of its\n\nmembers as chairperson, who shall preside over meetings of the\n\nCommission and perform any other duties as may be required by the\n\nCommission.\n\nI.
