Stat. tit. 52, § 52-603","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this act:\n\n1. \"Commission\" means the Corporation Commission of Oklahoma;\n\n2. \"Energy resource assets\" means assets located in this state\n\nwhich consist of oil, gas, coal and other hydrocarbons in solid,\n\nliquid or gaseous form or any combinations of such forms, any rights\n\nfor the exploration, development or production of such assets, and\n\nany tangible assets used in the exploration, development,\n\nproduction, refining, processing, transportation or transmission by\n\npipeline or other common carrier of any of the foregoing;\n\n3. \"Person\" means and includes natural persons, firms,\n\npartnerships, companies, corporations, associations, common law\n\ntrusts, statutory trusts and other concerns by whatever name known\n\nor howsoever organized, formed or created;\n\n4. \"Transfer\" means a disposition for value of:\n\na. any energy resource assets, or\n\nb. any ownership interest in any person, other than a\n\nnatural person, directly or indirectly owning or\n\ncontrolling any such asset;\n\n5. \"Transferee\" means a person, and any person or persons\n\nacting in concert or participating with or controlling such a\n\nperson, who offers or agrees to acquire in a transfer, or who\n\nacquires in a transfer, energy resource assets, or an ownership\n\ninterest in any person, other than a natural person, directly or\n\nindirectly owning or controlling energy resource assets; and\n\n6. \"Transferor\" means a person who owns or controls, directly\n\nor indirectly, energy resource assets proposed to be acquired in a\n\ntransfer, as defined in subparagraph a of paragraph 4 of this\n\nsection, or a person who owns or controls energy resource assets in\n\nwhich an ownership interest is proposed to be acquired in a transfer\n\nas defined in subparagraph b of paragraph 4 of this section.","path":["OK Code","Title 52"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os52.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"7ab41051db27d10d080231d8d1d1e72d27c6b17646f62fd15860c1cb2c68afbe","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-52-52-602","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-52-52-604"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
