Stat. tit. 52, § 52-612","heading":"Nonresident transferees - Service of process","body":"A transferee who is a nonresident of this state, and any persons\n\nacting in concert or participating with or controlling such\n\ntransferee, who makes or solicits an offer to effect a transfer, or\n\nwho makes an agreement to effect a transfer, shall be deemed:\n\n1. To have agreed to be subject to the jurisdiction of the\n\nCommission and the courts of the state with respect to any action or\n\nproceeding commenced under this act;\n\n2. To have designated the Secretary of State as the lawful\n\nagent for receipt of service of process with respect to any action\n\nor proceeding commenced under this act, if no such agent has\n\npreviously been designated; and\n\n3. To have agreed that any summons or other notice of suit or\n\nproceeding served on the Secretary of State as agent for service of\n\nprocess shall have the same legal force and validity as if\n\npersonally served in this state, provided that the addresses of the\n\ntransferee, or persons acting in concert or participating with or\n\ncontrolling such transferee, are known to the Commission or the\n\nSecretary of State, and the Secretary of State promptly sends notice\n\nof service and a copy of the process by registered mail to the\n\ntransferee, and persons acting in concert or participating with or\n\ncontrolling such transferee, on or before the return day of the\n\nprocess, or within such further time as the Commission may allow.","path":["OK Code","Title 52"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os52.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"d4f961411b9016686d9f49c2d7d6b7892e57b4a7dedc57a3b7dc0675528128f4","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-52-52-611","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-52-52-613"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
