The term \"waste\", as applied to the production of oil, in\n\naddition to its ordinary meaning, shall include economic waste,\n\nunderground waste, including water encroachment in the oil or gas\n\nbearing strata; the use of reservoir energy for oil producing\n\npurposes by means or methods that unreasonably interfere with\n\nobtaining from the common source of supply the largest ultimate\n\nrecovery of oil; surface waste and waste incident to the production\n\nof oil in excess of transportation or marketing facilities or\n\nreasonable market demands. The production of oil in the State of\n\nOklahoma in such manner and under such conditions as to constitute\n\nwaste, as in Sections 86.1 et seq. of this title defined, is hereby\n\nprohibited, and the Corporation Commission shall have authority, and\n\nis charged with the duty, to make rules, regulations and orders for\n\nthe prevention of such waste, and for the protection of all fresh\n\nwater strata and oil or gas bearing strata encountered in any well\n\ndrilled for oil or gas.\n\nB.
