When any petition or application is filed with the\n\nCorporation Commission for a location exception from any spacing or\n\ndrilling unit, the Commission shall give notice of the hearing to be\n\nheld upon such petition or application, as provided in Section 87.1\n\nof Title 52 of the Oklahoma Statutes. Such notice shall\n\nspecifically identify the proposed well location, by legal\n\ndescription, in order to give proper notice to owners of land\n\nadjacent to the proposed well location whether within or without the\n\nsame spacing or drilling unit as such proposed well location.\n\nB. If the location exception allows a proposed well location to\n\nbe placed closer than one thousand three hundred twenty (1,320) feet\n\nto a section line for a gas well or closer than three hundred thirty\n\n(330) feet to a section line for an oil well, the notice specified\n\nin subsection A of this section shall identify, by legal\n\ndescription, the land sections adjacent to the area within the\n\nlocation exception.","path":["OK Code","Title 52"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os52.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"74df58083aabefdc00cb789d9b326d27bae4f5930090ca7b976f3457394d74e0","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-52-52-87.2","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-52-52-87.4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
