Stat. tit. 53, § 53-47.8","heading":"Will Rogers Homesite - Transfer of operation","body":"The following described land operated as the Will Rogers\n\nHomesite, all the appurtenances thereto and all personal property\n\nessential to the continued orderly operation of this facility are\n\nhereby transferred to the Oklahoma Historical Society, on behalf of\n\nthe Will Rogers Memorial. The Oklahoma Historical Society shall\n\nhave the same powers and duties with respect to the facility as were\n\npreviously carried out by the Will Rogers Memorial Commission and\n\nshall assume the performance of all existing obligations of the Will\n\nRogers Memorial Commission relating to its operation and\n\nmaintenance. Such premises shall include:\n\nA tract of land all in the NW-1/4, Section 24, T 23 N, R\n\n15 E, Rogers County, Oklahoma, described as follows:\n\nBeginning at the common corner of Sections 13, 14, 23 and\n\n24, T 23 N, R 15 E, thence south along the west line of\n\nthe NW-1/4 to the southwest corner of the N-1/2 NW-1/4 SW-\n\n1/4 SW-1/4 NW-1/4; thence northeasterly on a straight line\n\nto the northwest corner of the SW-1/4 SE-1/4 NW-1/4 NW-\n\n1/4; thence east along the north line of the SW-1/4 SE-1/4\n\nNW-1/4 NW-1/4 to the southwest corner of the E-1/2 NW-1/4\n\nSE-1/4 NW-1/4 NW-1/4; thence northeasterly on a straight\n\nline to the northeast corner of the W-1/2 W-1/2 E-1/2 NW-\n\n1/4; thence west along the north side of the NW-1/4 to the\n\npoint of beginning.\n\nA tract of land all in the S-1/2 of Section 13, T 23 N, R\n\n15 E, Rogers County, Oklahoma, more particularly described\n\nas follows: Beginning at the common corner of Sections\n\n13, 14, 23 and 24 thence north along the west line of SW-\n\n1/4 to the northwest corner of SW-1/4; thence east along\n\nthe north line of SW-1/4 to the northeast corner of the W-\n\n1/2 E-1/2 NW-1/4 NW-1/4 SE-1/4; thence south along east\n\nline of the W-1/2 E-1/2 NW-1/4 NW-1/4 SE-1/4 to the\n\nnortheast corner of the SW-1/4 SE-1/4 NW-1/4 NW-1/4 SE-\n\n1/4; thence southwesterly on a straight line to the\n\nsoutheast corner of the W-1/2 NW-1/4 SW-1/4 NW-1/4 SE-1/4;\n\nthence west along the south line of the W-1/2 NW-1/4 SW-\n\n1/4 NW-1/4 SE-1/4 and the south line of the N-1/2 S-1/2\n\nNE-1/4 SW-1/4 to the northeast corner of the SE-1/4 SE-1/4\n\nNW-1/4 SW-1/4; thence south along the east line of the SE-\n\n1/4 SE-1/4 NW-1/4 SW-1/4 to the southeast corner thereof;\n\nthence southeasterly on a straight line to the southeast\n\ncorner of the W-1/2 W-1/2 SE-1/4 SW-1/4; thence west along\n\nthe south line of the SW-1/4 to the point of beginning.","path":["OK Code","Title 53"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os53.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"6ada88406313efb0e25ea3eb75f3c33852b57d456d23c53cd4f10ce829af9a8f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-53-53-47.6","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-53-53-47.9"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
