Stat. tit. 54, § 54-1-1102","heading":"Statement Of Foreign Qualification","body":"Statement Of Foreign Qualification. (a) Before transacting\n\nbusiness in this state, a foreign limited liability partnership must\n\nfile a statement of foreign qualification. The statement must\n\ncontain:\n\n(1) the name of the foreign limited liability partnership which\n\nsatisfies the requirements of the state or other jurisdiction under\n\nwhose law it is formed and, if different from the legal name of the\n\npartnership, the name under which the partnership will conduct\n\nbusiness ending with \"Registered Limited Liability Partnership\",\n\n\"Limited Liability Partnership\", \"R.L.L.P.\", \"L.L.P.\", \"RLLP\", or\n\n\"LLP\";\n\n(2) the street address of the partnership's chief executive\n\noffice and, if different, the street address of an office of the\n\npartnership in this state, if any;\n\n(3) if there is no office of the partnership in this state, the\n\nname and street address of the partnership's agent for service of\n\nprocess; and\n\n(4) a deferred effective date, if any.\n\n(b) The agent of a foreign limited liability company for\n\nservice of process must be an individual who is a resident of this\n\nstate or other person authorized to do business in this state.\n\n(c) The status of a partnership as a foreign limited liability\n\npartnership is effective on the later of the filing of the statement\n\nof foreign qualification or a date specified in the statement.
