Stat. tit. 54, § 54-500-703A","heading":"Rights of creditor of partner or transferee","body":"RIGHTS OF CREDITOR OF PARTNER OR TRANSFEREE.\n\n(a) On application to a court of competent jurisdiction by any\n\njudgment creditor of a partner or transferee, the court may charge\n\nthe transferable interest of the judgment debtor with payment of the\n\nunsatisfied amount of the judgment with interest. To the extent so\n\ncharged, the judgment creditor has only the rights of a transferee.\n\nThe court may appoint a receiver of the share of the distributions\n\ndue or to become due to the judgment debtor in respect of the\n\npartnership and make all other orders, directions, accounts, and\n\ninquiries the judgment debtor might have made or which the\n\ncircumstances of the case may require to give effect to the charging\n\norder.\n\n(b) A charging order constitutes a lien on the judgment\n\ndebtor’s transferable interest. The court may order a foreclosure\n\nupon the interest subject to the charging order at any time. The\n\npurchaser at the foreclosure sale has the rights of a transferee.\n\n(c) At any time before foreclosure, an interest charged may be\n\nredeemed:\n\n(1) by the judgment debtor;\n\n(2) with property other than limited partnership property, by\n\none or more of the other partners; or\n\n(3) with limited partnership property, by the limited\n\npartnership with the consent of all partners whose interests are not\n\nso charged.\n\n(d) The Uniform Limited Partnership Act of 2010 does not\n\ndeprive any partner or transferee of the benefit of any exemption\n\nlaws applicable to the partner’s or transferee’s transferable\n\ninterest.\n\n(e) This section provides the exclusive remedy by which a\n\njudgment creditor of a partner or transferee may satisfy a judgment\n\nout of the judgment debtor’s transferable interest.","path":["OK Code","Title 54"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os54.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"baef3f83dc6fd0ff378e46166b2fa397215e71b689a8cda69a245b474275dc5e","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-54-54-500-702a","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-54-54-500-704a"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
