Sections 1 and 2 of this act shall be known and may be cited\n\nas the “All Kids Act”.\n\nB. The Legislature finds that, for the economic and social\n\nbenefit of all residents of the State of Oklahoma, it is important\n\nto enable all children of this state to access affordable health\n\ninsurance that offers comprehensive coverage and emphasizes\n\npreventative health care. Numerous studies, including the Institute\n\nof Medicine’s report, Health Insurance Matters, demonstrate that\n\nlack of insurance negatively affects health status. The Legislature\n\nfurther finds that access to health care is a key component for\n\nchildren’s healthy development and successful education. The\n\neffects of lack of insurance also negatively impact those who are\n\ninsured because the cost of paying for care for the uninsured is\n\nshifted to those who have insurance in the form of higher health\n\ninsurance premiums. A Families USA 2005 report indicates that by\n\n2010, family premiums in Oklahoma will increase by Two Thousand\n\nEleven Dollars ($2,011.00) due to cost-shifting from the uninsured.\n\nIt is, therefore, the intent of the All Kids Act to provide access\n\nto affordable health insurance to all children in Oklahoma.","path":["OK Code","Title 56"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os56.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"fc35459a448d6fd9019113966fc18f81054537526ffe66d9e0f50c9f52a5354e","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-56-56-1008","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-56-56-1009.2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
