Stat. tit. 56, § 56-143","heading":"Conditions of allowance","body":"Such allowance shall be made by the county court and only upon\n\nthe following conditions:\n\n(1) The child or children for whose benefit the allowance is\n\nmade must be living with the mother of such child or children; (2)\n\nThe allowance shall be made only when in the absence of such\n\nallowance the mother would be required to work regularly away from\n\nher home and children, and when by means of such allowance she will\n\nbe able to remain at home with her children; (3) The mother must, in\n\nthe judgment of the county court, be a proper person, morally,\n\nphysically and mentally, for the bringing up of her children; (4)\n\nSuch allowance shall, in the judgment of the court, be necessary to\n\nsave the child or children from neglect; (5) No person shall receive\n\nthe benefit of this act who shall not have been a resident of the\n\ncounty in which such application is made for at least one (1) year\n\nnext before the making of such application for such allowance.","path":["OK Code","Title 56"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os56.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"a5a10d746aa72ef6425fff9f4577e374313c92725abddda6e55aab99e9303d3a","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-56-56-142","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-56-56-144"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
