Stat. tit. 56, § 56-169","heading":"Reinvestigation of assistance grants","body":"All assistance grants made under this act shall be\n\nreinvestigated by the Department as frequently as may be required by\n\nthe Commission. In all cases, the Department shall have the power to\n\nmodify or revoke its former grant. The same right of hearing shall\n\nbe accorded an aggrieved recipient as provided in Section 8 thereof.\n\nProvided, that on and after June 1st, 1957, it shall be the duty of\n\nthe Oklahoma Public Welfare Commission in conformity with the\n\nFederal Social Security Laws and in regard to funds available to\n\nrevise and liberalize the budget as now used in ascertaining the\n\nneed of any person eligible to receive old age assistance, and in so\n\ndoing the increased cost of living and condition of health shall be\n\ngiven due consideration (and excepting earned and/or inconsequential\n\nresources and casual irregular or unpredictable wages or salary in\n\nan amount of an average of $50.00 or a greater amount per month).\n\nProvided further, that the Commission shall immediately direct the\n\nreinvestigation and revision of the budget of each and every\n\nrecipient and the payment of assistance thereafter shall be made on\n\nsuch basis.\n\nAdded by State Question No. 226, Initiative Petition No. 155, § 9,\n\nadopted July 7, 1936.
