Stat. tit. 56, § 56-175","heading":"Assistance to crippled children","body":"It shall be the duty of the county department in the several\n\nrespective counties in accordance with the rules and regulations of\n\nthe Commission to take the initiative in ascertaining the need for\n\nassistance of persons eligible for assistance under the provisions\n\nof subsection (c) of Section 164 of this title and report in writing\n\non forms furnished by the Department its recommendations showing the\n\nnature of the need for assistance, the kind and amount of assistance\n\nneeded in each case. The Department shall have authority to enter\n\ninto agreements with physicians, nurses, hospitals, agencies and\n\nindividuals for the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions\n\nof subsection (c) of Section 164 of this title. All claims approved\n\nfor payment under this section shall be drawn against the Human\n\nServices Medical and Assistance Fund and paid in the same manner as\n\nother expenditures.\n\nAdded by State Question No. 226, Initiative Petition No. 155, § 15,\n\nadopted July 7, 1936.
