Stat. tit. 56, § 56-190","heading":"Payment of checks or vouchers to recipients of assistance,","body":"relief or welfare, upon death of the beneficiary after issuance.\n\nWhenever any qualified recipient or beneficiary of old-age\n\nassistance, aid to the blind, or aid to the permanently and totally\n\ndisabled, or of other relief or welfare, under the laws of the State\n\nof Oklahoma, shall have died after the issuance of assistance checks\n\nor vouchers to him, or on or after the due date of said checks or\n\nvouchers and before the same is endorsed or presented for payment by\n\nthe recipient or beneficiary, the judge of the district court of the\n\ncounty in which said recipient resided at the time of his death\n\nshall by the filing of an affidavit by one of the next of kin or\n\nnext friend of said deceased recipient make an order authorizing and\n\ndirecting such next of kin or next friend, or some other reputable\n\nperson, to endorse said checks or vouchers which shall be paid upon\n\npresentation, and it shall not be necessary that an administrator be\n\nappointed for the estate of said decedent in order to collect said\n\nchecks or vouchers.
