Stat. tit. 56, § 56-199.3","heading":"Traumatic brain or spinal cord injury - Contracts for","body":"inpatient services - Study and recommendations - Service standards.\n\nA. Subject to subsection C of this section, the Department of\n\nHuman Services is authorized to enter into contracts for the\n\nprovision of inpatient specialized rehabilitative and related\n\nservices which qualify as medical assistance under Title XIX of the\n\nSocial Security Act for eligible persons having a traumatic brain\n\ninjury or spinal cord injury.\n\nB. The Department of Human Services shall conduct a study in\n\nconsultation with the Advisory Council on Traumatic Spinal Cord and\n\nTraumatic Brain Injury within the State Department of Health and\n\nthen make recommendations to the Commission for Human Services for\n\nthe establishment of a rate or other form of adequate payment for\n\ncontracts with facilities, other than general acute care hospitals,\n\nproviding inpatient specialized rehabilitative and related services\n\nfor persons having a traumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury.\n\nC. If the results of the study required by subsection B of this\n\nsection demonstrate that making such services available to said\n\npersons would result in an overall lower cost for providing services\n\nto this population than current service delivery practices, the\n\nDepartment shall enter into contracts with specialized facilities\n\nthat meet such standards as the Board of Health shall require for\n\ncertificate of need and licensure under provisions of Title 63 of\n\nthe Oklahoma Statutes, Section 1-850 et seq. and Section 1-1901 et\n\nseq., respectively. Standards for licensure promulgated by the\n\nBoard of Health for specialized facilities serving persons with\n\ntraumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury shall, to the maximum\n\nextent feasible, correspond substantially to the standards of the\n\nCouncil on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities for such or\n\nsimilar facilities and services.","path":["OK Code","Title 56"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os56.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"68fd3f645f94bc8ebb40c1c69fcfdeaa232f339faf7ee2730d84fde8c7e78cf8","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-56-56-199.2","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-56-56-200"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
