Stat. tit. 56, § 56-230.61","heading":"Extension of transitional Medicaid, child care","body":"assistance and support services.\n\nA. The Oklahoma Health Care Authority, in accordance with the\n\nterms and conditions of a waiver granted by the federal Department\n\nof Health and Human Services, shall conduct a demonstration project\n\nto revise applicable standards and rules which will allow a\n\nrecipient of assistance under the Medicaid and Temporary Assistance\n\nfor Needy Families (TANF) program, who becomes employed, to continue\n\nto receive transitional Medicaid and child care assistance for\n\ntwenty-four (24) months following the initial date of employment\n\nunless:\n\n1. The employer provides medical assistance or child care\n\nbenefits; or\n\n2. The monthly salary received from the employer exceeds the\n\nmonthly allowance of assistance pursuant to the TANF program plus\n\nthe cost of child care and medical insurance to which the recipient\n\nwould be entitled.\n\nB. The Commission for Human Services shall revise applicable\n\nstandards and rules to allow a recipient under the TANF program, who\n\nbecomes employed, to receive case management and transitional\n\nsupport services. Such services shall include, but not be limited\n\nto, transportation assistance, ensuring that the family receives\n\ntransitional Medicaid and child care, ensuring that the family is\n\nfamiliar with and applies for the Earned Income Tax Credit,\n\nproviding that the recipient is assessed for and referred to\n\nproviders for any social or supportive service-related needs, and\n\nassistance with any other problems which emerge in the initial\n\nmonths of employment.","path":["OK Code","Title 56"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os56.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"ab33f1014f6fa2e7e43384ce831d56e65adf5b1d3bfebef157b19cdc045a663d","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-56-56-230.60","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-56-56-230.62"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
