Stat. tit. 56, § 56-241.3","heading":"Limitation of benefits - Amount and receipt of","body":"allotments.\n\nA. Except as otherwise provided by law or waiver, all able-\n\nbodied recipients eighteen (18) years of age to fifty (50) years of\n\nage, who are not disabled or raising minor children, may receive\n\nfood stamps for only three (3) months in each thirty-six-month\n\nperiod except in months in which such recipients are employed for at\n\nleast twenty (20) or more hours per week. The Department of Human\n\nServices shall enforce the provisions of this section and any\n\napproved waivers or other provisions pursuant to law in effect for\n\nthis state as of the effective date of this act in designated areas\n\nand populations.\n\nB. 1. A family applying for food stamps after the fifteenth\n\n(15th) day of each month shall be eligible to receive the total\n\namount of their initial allotment and their regular first allotment.\n\n2. A household allotment of food stamps may be reduced by up to\n\ntwenty-five percent (25%) if a family is sanctioned in another\n\nprogram established pursuant to the Statewide Temporary Assistance\n\nResponsibility System.\n\n3. An individual in a treatment center shall designate the\n\ntreatment center as the recipient of such individual's food stamp\n\nallotment.\n\n4. Operating procedures for the food stamp programs in local\n\noffices may vary to reflect local differences.\n\n5. The Department is authorized to use the amount of a\n\nhousehold food stamp allotment to subsidize a job under a work\n\nsupplementation or support program.\n\nC.
